Bish students’ generosity wins Arrabawn’s €1,000 kindness accolade
Arrabawn Dairies has just rewarded students from the Bish Secondary School €1000 for their kindness shown towards a homeless man on Shop Street. The four young boys were spotted buying a coffee for the man, who had been lying asleep in the rain. The prize was given as part of Arrabawn’s Legendary Acts of Kindness Campaign, in which they reward people who are nominated for carrying out a selfless act with one of the fortnightly €1000 prizes.

Galway students among Ireland’s elite as Leaving Cert results released
After two months of waiting, 3,107 Galway students are waking up this morning contemplating their future path after receiving their Leaving Cert results yesterday. With first round CAO offers not published until Monday, many will be facing a few more anxious days before they learn if they have gained entry into their chosen course. Two Galway students will face no such quandary however, as Ciaran Doyle of Craughwell and Ruth Cormican from Oranmore were among 10 students in the country who achieved eight A1s.
