Not content with conquering the men’s ‘streetwear’ market in Athlone, Conspiracy has decided to branch out into ladies’ clothing.
The Conspiracy store, based at basement level in Athlone Towncentre, is now stocking new fashion brands for girls in the shape of Roxy, Vans, and a number of other labels.
T-shirts, hoodies, jeans, and a full range of bags and accessories are now available from popular surf and snow label Roxy; while a range of clothing, footwear, and accessories from the Vans label are also in store.
Conspiracy has also added a range of girls’ wear to its existing Billabong, Elements, Iron Fist, Famous Stars and Straps, and Atticus ranges.
The decision to extend the shop’s offering was the result of increasing customer demand, according to Conspiracy manager Mike Curtin. “Customers have been asking for girls’ clothing, and girls were coming in buying the smaller sizes in some of the men’s ranges. People particularly asked for Roxy by name, and nowhere else in town stocks it,” says Mike.
Conspiracy specialises in ‘street wear’, including skateboard brands and music-influenced labels. Many of the brands that Conspiracy sells are not available anywhere else in Athlone or the Midlands.
Mike set up Conspiracy last June when he moved to Athlone and discovered that there were no local shops that stocked the type of clothes he himself liked. The shop has been going from strength to strength ever since, a rare success story, fuelled by the uniqueness of the brand on offer.
Conspiracy is open on Level A (basement level ) at Athlone Towncentre, during the centre’s open hours. Tel (090 ) 6479703.
