Athlone woman vying to become the face of GOSH

Cathy Gunning, from Johnstown, Athlone, is campaigning to become the first winner of the GOSH Girl competition in Ireland for 2015.

Should Cathy succeed, she will be the appointed face of the 2015 GOSH ad campaign.

She will also be treated to a year’s supply of GOSH branded products including make-up and brushes as well as the opportunity to model with the Assets Model Agency on a one year contract.

In addition to these prizes, the winner will also experience a studio photo shoot conducted by a professional photographer, a make-up artist, and a hair stylist.

The hundreds of applicants currently seeking Facebook votes will be reduced to 20 by December with an additional three wildcard entrants going before the judging panel in the next stage of competition.

Cathy, a daughter of Bernie and Martina, and a former student of St. Joseph’s College Summerhill, is determined to make the top 20 and is ultimately striving to become the first winner of the GOSH Girl competition.

“I’m definitely determined to give this my best shot. I’ve received so much support so far from my friends at work and my family. Everything else that comes after that is a blessing,” she said.
