Give your Bra for Breast Cancer

Every year over 2,750 women are diagnosed with breast cancer in Ireland. To help reduce this number, the Marie Keating Foundation wants women to give your bra for breast cancer.

Burgess Department Store on Church Street is embracing this campaign and is accepting all kinds of bras - any shape, any size, any style, and any condition and for every bra donated during October, Roche Products (Ireland ) Limited will give the Marie Keating Foundation €1.

Rosie Boles, managing director of Burgess said, “The Bras for Breast Cancer campaign is an ideal way for women to support the fight against breast cancer. While not everyone can spare money, most of us have a bra that we don’t wear any more and by bringing your bra instore you are doing your bit to help beat cancer!”

Burgess Department Store offers a wide range of prostheses and post-surgery bras. They carry a full range of breast forms and bras from the world-renowned Trulife brand - the world’s first successful breast prosthesis.

The store’s bra fitters have been specially trained to advise and help ladies in need of a post-surgery bra and/or breast form. The complimentary bra fitting service is discreet and private.

The Give Your Bra campaign is part of the Burgess Bra Fitting Fortnight and runs until November 1.

During the Burgess Bra Fitting Fortnight women can avail of complimentary bra fittings with no appointment necessary. For all sports enthusiasts the Panache and Cleo fitter will be available throughout the day on Friday October 31.

Customers can also avail of 20 per cent off all bras in the lingerie department over the course of the promotion and with every purchase you are entered in a draw to win one of three prizes - a Panache/Cleo bra, a Wonderbra, or a Playtex lingerie set.
