Save hundreds of euro on baby essentials

We all know how expensive having a new baby is, but what about the ongoing costs of clothing, toys, and equipment as baby moves through the various stages? The Baby Bay Market offers parents and parents-to-be an opportunity to save by buying quality second hand baby goods, clothing, and toys directly from other parents.

Run by Mandy O’Rorke, owner of BabyBay.ie and mum of four, the Baby Bay Market is where savvy mums and dads are shopping these days. Mandy recently gave birth to her fourth child and saved a small fortune buying everything secondhand either online at www.BabyBay.ie or at the Baby Bay Markets.

Mandy says: “My youngest was five when I found out I was pregnant and we’d sold everything through the website or at the markets. I couldn’t believe we had to buy everything again. I had so much fun shopping at the markets and saved literally hundreds of euro.”

For parents who want to declutter and make some cash, stalls are available to book online from €20 at www.BabyBayMarket.ie

Your stall includes a 6ft dressed table and chair, plus space to the side for a clothes rail and up to two larger items. Rails can be hired at a rate of €5. There is also an opportunity for local businesses selling baby-related products and services to take a stall on the day.

All events are indoor and customers are encouraged to bring the kids. Activities include colouring and face painting.

The Baby Bay Market will take place on Sunday September 21 at the Athlone Springs Hotel from 12-2pm. Stalls can be booked online at www.BabyBayMarket.ie

Admission costs €3, with €1 donated directly to Barnardos Children’s Charity. Kids go free.
