Move, eat, sleep, connect

1  Your granny is right, start the day with an energizing bowl of porridge to kick start your metabolism, and give you a slow sugar release to make you feel full longer!

2  Keep your face looking summer fresh by drinking a pint of hot water with a zest of lemon first thing in the morning, and aim to drink two litres of water a day. Swap black tea and coffee for herbal versions full of antioxidants. Dehydration causes headaches, lack of concentration, poor digestion, dry skin, etc

3  Fake it! Give yourself a summer glow with a fake tan. But first, dry skin brush your body from toe to top. This stimulates the shedding of dead skin cells to help get rid of toxins, and exfoliates your body for luscious skin, ready to apply your tan.

4 Remember to use a high SPF over your moisturizer for protection from premature ageing in the winter as well as the summer to protect yourself from harmful UVA rays!

5 Long winter evenings are the perfect opportunity to invest in some candles, incense, and relaxation CDs. Turn your home into a haven of relaxation and let your body and mind unwind with some gentle relaxation techniques, simply take a few deep breaths, and a moment to yourself.

6 Protect your skin from winter dryness caused by the wind and rain, central heating, and car heaters, by investing in a good moisturizer, such as Yonka Elastine Jour and Nuit.

7 Combat SAD syndrome. Make the most of the daylight and go for a walk on your lunch break to lap up some fresh air and vitamin D. 

8 Quit smoking! Smoking prevents essential vitamins and minerals from being properly absorbed into the body, leaving your immune system open to attack.

9 Join a gym! Exercise in comfort for an hour each day on your way home from work for a natural high! And you’ll have the perfect body for that little black dress you’re planning to wear to the office Christmas party.

10 Connect. Christmas is a good time to catch up with old friends and family. Nothing is better than a good chat in front of a log fire to make you feel great. 

11 Sleep. Your body naturally restores itself whilst you sleep. So, get into the habit of going to bed and wakening up at the same time everyday, to realign your natural body clock. They don’t call it beauty sleep for nothing!
