Exciting new Chinese restaurant Inniu Kung Fu on Church Street officially opened its doors last weekend, offering a fresh and healthy take on Chinese-style cuisine.
With a mid-level price range and a high standard of service, Inniu Kung Fu is an exciting new concept in Chinese cuisine.
The varied menu, which we sampled last week, features gems such as the aptly named ‘Triple Delight’ of aubergine, green pepper, and tofu in black bean sauce, and a delicious seafood dish featuring king prawn and scallops. The highlight was the mango duck, a combination of melt-in-the-mouth duck with sweet mango pieces, which is to die for.
The starter menu includes crab claws with sweet chilli suce, Phoenix prawn tail, and satay chicken skewers, with the best satay sauce we have ever tasted, delicious and light with a hint of pineapple.
Don’t forget to try the dessert special, chocolate fondue with a variety of fresh fruit and marshmallows to dip and smother in chocolate at your leisure.
All dishes, right down to the fried rice, are fresh, light, and healthy, made from the freshest of ingredients, and served by warm and friendly staff. The house wines come highly recommended, particularly the white, a crisp Chilean Sauvignon Blanc.
One of the nicest features of Inniu Kung Fu is the restaurant layout and decor. Low lighting and warm reds, browns, and greens make it welcoming and cosy, while tables are afforded privacy with booths, screens, and raised areas keeping them separate and intimate. If you’re lucky enough to secure a window seat, you can watch the world go by with a panoramic view over Church Street. The restaurant holds up to 60 people, with a private room available for parties of up to10 people.
The team at Inniu Kung Fu are ready to welcome you, so why not come along and sample the exquisite menu? The restaurant also opens for lunch, with special deals available. A takeaway service will also be opening before Christmas.
