Ecclesiastical Insurance Ireland and its parent company, the Benefact Group, are giving away a further €500,000 to support charity projects that have a lasting impact on communities, through the Movement for Good 2023 large grant awards.
Charities supporting education and skills, rural or community development, heritage, arts or culture, and climate change or environment are invited to apply online at: www.movementforgood.com/largergrants/ Applications for the large grants of €10,000 or more opened this week and close on Friday 28 July.
The Movement for Good Awards have supported numerous Irish charities in the past with donations of €1,000 following public nominations, and also through special grants of €5,000; but last year, in particular, two Irish charities were part of the Larger Grants: the Irish Museum of Modern Art, which received more than €15,000, and ECO-UNESCO, which received more than €50,000.
“Since its inception in 1991, IMMA has been a centre for creativity and innovation. Now, thirty years on, we seek to be a radically public space that encourages public engagement with the arts in a culturally meaningful way. By connecting with community networks through Unseen Traces, with support from the 2022 Movement for Good Awards and in collaboration with New Communities Partnership, we hope to reemphasise this aim and foster a space that is reflective of contemporary Irish society,” Annie Fletcher, Director, IMMA, commented.
The funding of the Movement for Good 2023 large grants can be used within three years and for a blend of project and core funding costs.
