USIT announce cut off dates for 2022 graduates for intern USA work and travel programme

USIT, the leading provider of the Grad USA programme is reminding 2022 graduates to check their grad certificates if they intend on kick starting their career Stateside.

Those that have a June 2022 date on their graduation cert must apply by Friday, March 31, to ensure their application is processed on time.

To help those interested in partaking in the Grad USA work and travel programme, USIT is hosting a virtual information session on April 11 and is encouraging all 2022 grads to attend so they can begin their application right away. Any graduate with a September/October date on their grad cert must apply by the end of June to avoid disappointment.

First established in 2008, the Intern Work and Travel programme allows Irish citizens or permanent residents of Ireland, who are students or recent graduates, to spend up to 12 months living and working in the US. Once in the US students have 90 days to secure a job and it must be related to their field of study. American work experience is often revered as some of the best in the world so graduates who do make the leap and take advantage of this visa find it very easy in securing a job when they come back to Ireland.

Leading provider of the programme, USIT will be hosting their next virtual Grad USA event on Apri 11l from 5.30pm which will enable recent graduates to meet with USIT Grad USA specialists and past participants of the programme to gauge what destination might suit them best and how to start the application process. Those interested can sign up here.

Stephanie Campion, a graphic designer who recently completed the Grad USA programme in New York said, “taking the leap to utilise my one year Grad USA programme was one of the best decisions of my life. With the help of USIT I got the once-in-a-lifetime experience of living in New York. I made some amazing friends, went on incredible adventures and created unforgettable memories. I would recommend everyone to do it!”
