The Cathaoirleach of Mayo County Council, Councillor Michael Smyth, said at the Claremorris-Swinford Municipal District meeting which took place this week, that he will be looking for a cross-party delegation of councillors to meet Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys, after Mayo was excluded from a €11 million package of funding under the Local Improvement Scheme (LIS) this week.
