Due to the phenomenal success of his recent sold out Dublin concert, London born and Irish raised Maverick Sabre has just announced a new Irish date at The Royal Theatre in Castlebar on Bank Holiday Sunday, June 3.

This British/Irish vocalist, born in Hackeny, London, but who moved to New Ross, Co Wexford, during his childhood, is associated with genres such as R&B, soul, post-dubstep, reggae fusion, and hip hop. Sabre’s gritty yet soulful voice is drawing audiences in and leaving them hooked. From Hackney to Wexford and back again, he has silenced crowds with his catchy lamenting social-political content.

The Beat are back and coming to the Royal Theatre, Castlebar for one of only three Irish dates

Formed in the working class suburbs of industrial Birmingham in England in 1978 The Beat arose at a time of high unemployment and social upheaval. From the outset the band offered messages of hope and peace with an insight into socio-political topics that would later, alongside The Specials, see them heralded as forerunners of the whole

movement. They will be in Castlebar at the Royal Theatre on Sunday March 18 at 11.30pm.
