Returning for its third edition, the festival will take place from Wednesday, June 5, to Sunday, June 9, showcasing the best of folk, roots, and traditional music in venues across Galway city.

Weekend of Friday, June 16th – Sunday June 18th

Galway Folk Festival have added to their highly anticipated line-up, featuring an exceptional array of international and Irish artists. Taking place from Tuesday June 13 to Sunday June 18, the festival will captivate music lovers with an extraordinary blend of folk, roots, and traditional music from Ireland and beyond.

Fresh from her first international tour in Australia, where she shares the stage with artists of such calibre as Mary Coughlan, Billy Bragg, John Smith and Grace Petrie, emerging star Dani Larkin is set to bring her contemplative folk style to Monroe’s Live on Thursday, May 4 at 8pm.

Described as one of the “best bands in the world” by the late Nirvana singer and guitarist, Kurt Cobain, Scottish sensations Teenage Fanclub will perform at the historic Seapoint Ballroom in Salthill on Wednesday, June 14 as part of the Galway Folk Festival.

Acclaimed American singer-songwriter, Steve Earle, who composed the world famous ‘The Galway Girl’, will perform at the Seapoint ballroom, Salthill on Tuesday, June 13 as part of the Galway Folk Festival 2023. Known for his soulful storytelling, the multi Grammy award-winning Earle has been captivating audiences for over 30 years, and is set to headline this years’ festival, taking place from June 13-18.
