Athlone Boat Club compete admirably at Carrick Head
Athlone Boat Club competed at Carrick Head in Carrick on Shannon on Saturday last. Different than the standard regattas, this event is a form of racing where rowers race against the clock and the crew or rower who completes the course in the shortest time in their age, ability and boat class category is deemed the winner. Athlone Boat Club represented in all age groups, from U14s through to Masters level, which is typically adults over the age of 27.
