High success rate at The Connacht Property Auction
The first Connacht Property Auction of 2015 was held on February 26 in the Menlo Park Hotel, Galway. Of the 24 properties on offer via the auction company, 21 properties were successfully sold, giving an 88 per cent success rate. The auction team are now taking entries for upcoming auctions taking place on April 23 and June 25. The Connacht Property Auction is the only auction company in Ireland which does not charge upfront costs or marketing charges to enter a property into its auctions.

With the next Connacht Property Auction fast approaching on Tuesday, November 11, the auction team are expecting a busy period with viewings and interest in the properties on offer. The Connacht Property Auction work in partnership with more than 40 auctioneers in Connacht offering properties for sale in Mayo, Galway, Roscommon, Leitrim, Sligo and even creep into Clare. Patrick Folan from The Connacht Property Auction noted: “Our last auction in September was hugely successful with 20 of the 23 lots sold. Furthermore, two of the three properties which were not sold at the auction, have since been sale agreed via our online auctions. Our online auctions are running continuously and are a great option for homeowners looking to sell their properties before Christmas.” Mr Folan went on to say: “We are currently taking entries for our auctions and invite homeowners to speak to us now if they want to be sold before the end of the year. We sell over 60 per cent of our properties through our online auction and properties can also go forward to our public auctions which we run regularly throughout the year.”

Huge interest in the today’s Connacht Property Auction
The Connacht Property Auction will take place in the new auction venue of the Menlo Park Hotel, Galway, today, September 18. There are 25 lots confirmed for this auction, ranging from €31,500 to €290,000. The auction team are expecting high levels of interest in the lots on offer, partly due to the property capital gains tax exemption which is expected to end on December 31.

The second Connacht Property Auction of the year was held on June 12 in the Clayton Hotel, Galway. There was strong interest in most of the properties with the Connacht Property Auction noting it undertook more than 200 viewings on the various properties in the lead up the auction. There were six properties in Galway sold along with properties in Mayo, Clare, and elsewhere around Connacht.
