In 2012, the annual number of passengers using Ireland West Knock increased by over 30,000 to 685,000 - an increase of 5 per cent on 2011 numbers. Galway based bus operator Citylink has expanded its popular service, and now has wifi on-board all coaches. The independent company offers 15 daily services to Dublin and Dublin airport. There are eight direct services from Galway to Shannon with additional departures from Galway at 5.30am, 11.30am, and 2.30pm, and a new departure from Shannon to Galway at 9.30am.
Gobus joins the Free Travel Scheme
Gobus, the transport company owned by Galway businessman, Jim Burke, have this week, been granted approval by the Department of Family and Social Affairs to accept the Free Travel Pass from commuters travelling on their non-stop service between Galway and Dublin and Dublin Airport.
