Use Heart to Connect with Croí - Know your Risk and Fight Heart Disease and Stroke!

In recognition of World Heart Day, the expert health team at Croí, the heart and stroke charity, will host a special free webinar on Thursday, September 30 from 7-8pm using Zoom. The webinar will focus on how you can reduce your risk factors for heart disease and stroke, including cholesterol, blood pressure, weight, stress and more.

Heart Health Week is currently running at all five Evergreen Healthfoods stores and, to coincide with today’s World Heart Day, it is running an awareness campaign to promote heart healthy choices.

To coincide with World Heart Day on Thursday, September 29, Croí and HSE West Mayo PCCC are inviting members of the public to a free public meeting and open forum in the TF Royal Hotel, Castlebar, at 8pm. The guest speaker will be Dr Pat Nash, consultant cardiologist, University Hospital, Galway. The theme of this year’s World Heart Day is One World, One Home, One Heart, which according to Croí, emphasises the important role we all can play in reducing the burden of heart disease and stroke on ourselves, our families, and our economy.

The Irish Heart Foundation is calling for as many people as possible to join Ireland’s Big Walk on World Heart Day on September 27.
