Record numbers of cancer survivors attended the recent Irish Cancer Society National Conference for Cancer Survivorship. To mark its 50th Anniversary, the Irish Cancer Society held a milestone conference entitled Living Well with Cancer, bringing together over 800 cancer survivors for the first time. Cancer Survivors from Mayo attended the conference alongside representatives from Mayo Cancer Support Association. The two-day event which took place in the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, was the largest event of its kind by the society, and was kindly supported by Roche.

A new eight week free programme for patients post-cancer diagnosis and treatment called The Well is now running at Mayo Cancer Support Association, Castlebar.
