GAA+ to provide season pass for nursing home residents
Nursing Homes Ireland (NHI) is extending its partnership with GAA+, the GAA’s new live and on-demand streaming platform. NHI and GAA+ have once again teamed up for the 2025 season, providing free access to over 30,000 residents and staff in all HIQA-registered private and voluntary nursing homes across the country. This year, GAA+ will be broadcasting 40 live games across all provinces as part of its exclusive All-Ireland Championship coverage.
Green certification status for Marine Insititute lab teams
Two laboratory teams within the Marine Institute have recently achieved green certification status as part of the ‘My Green Lab’ accreditation programme. The Molecular Biology Unit (Fish Health Unit & Shellfish Microbiology) and Phytoplankton Team (Shellfish Safety) achieved the standards of the programme which seeks to reduce the environmental impact of laboratories through a combination of organisational initiatives and behaviour change programmes.
