Ballintubber Passion Play is now in its 25th year of production. It is enacted in the grounds of Ballintubber Abbey, which were landscaped in 1986 with just such an event in mind. It involves a cast of 70 people, all drawn from the local community, and lasts one hour. A stand has been erected to accommodate the hundreds that come to experience it each year from all over Ireland. This year it takes place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of Holy Week, March 25, 26 and 27.

The Passion Play will take place on April 2, 3 and 4 at 9pm.

Tomorrow at 2pm, the way of the cross will be acted out by a cast from the community of the Good Shepherd parish in the children's playground. The event will take place in Doughiska Park, at the rear of Merlin Woods new school, on Doughiska Road.
