The restaurant, which was set up by husband and wife Michael O’Meara and Sinead Hughes in 2000. The Just Ask award recognises the restaurant for its dedication to sourcing food from local suppliers and ensuring this information is passed on to customers on their menu.

The world of ballet will never seem the same again as Black Swan, a film which is both beautiful and disturbing, gives us Natalie Portman’s best performance yet as the perfection-seeking ballerina whose dream disintegrates along with her fragile mind.

The King’s Speech is undoubtedly one of the best dramas to hit the big screen in a very long time deserving all the award nominations given to it for its amazing storyline and brilliant cast. I could watch this over and over again.

Another year to look forward to; I wonder if 2011 will be as eventful as 2010 at Oscars? In fact 2010 was a pretty good year in Galway despite the best efforts of the economic environment. The year got off to a great start for Oscars with our inclusion into the Bridgestone Guide’s Top 100 Restaurants in Ireland. It really is a great privilege to make it into the guide as the top 100 also includes restaurants in the north of the country.

Snap Printing Athlone received one of the highest accolades in the Irish printing industry when they scooped the top award in the Digital Print category of the Print of the Year awards in Dublin at the weekend.
