MORE THAN 50 years after it premiered on London’s West End, Lionel Bart’s classic musical Oliver! remains as much-loved as ever. Now Galway audiences can look forward to a new staging of the show from Brian and Sean Powers’ Twins Production Company which takes to the Town Hall Theatre stage next week.

Preparations have been under way over the last few weeks in St Joseph’s Secondary School Castlebar for this years transition year musical production, Lionel Bart’s musical, Oliver. This show has had a recent West End revival, thanks to last years BBC talent show, I’d do anything and the girls at St Jo’s, already familiar with the songs from the TV show and the film, are delighted to be putting on their own Oliver performance
