SHAKE! ONE of Galway’s most influential and best loved clubnights returns this Bank Holiday Weekend, when DJs Ray and Aran spin the decks in HALO this Saturday from 11pm.

NORMAN J is probably the only DJ who can boast an MBE. He was awarded the honour in 2002 for his “deejaying and services to music”, but then, it was well deserved.

NORMAN JAY, the only DJ to have received an MBE for “deejaying and services to music” returns to Galway to play Kelly’s on Friday April 1 at 11pm.

This bank holiday weekend will come alive to the sounds, smells, sights, and feel of Cuba and its capital city Havana with the Little Havana Festival.

Kelly’s Bar and Venue opened its doors in July of last year, but only now have the final touches been added. The mirrors have been hung, the pheasant has been stuffed, the beer taps well and truly tested so Kelly’s is now ready to launch. The official launch party takes place tomorrow Friday February 26 kicking off at 9pm. To celebrate, Kelly’s has lined up music on two floors from two bands and four DJs and lots of giveaways. Entry is free and early arrivals will get a complimentary drink.

CLUB GIGANTIC, the independent alternative club night at DeBurgo’s, Augustine Street, will celebrate its 300th night this Saturday with a major party starting at 10pm.

GALWAY’S LONG running independent club night Gigantic has moved to Kelly’s, formerly The Living Room, and Norman Jay will be spinning the decks there this weekend.
