One hundred and eighty years ago, the Sisters of Mercy came to Galway for the first time, to a house in Lombard Street, to devote themselves to works of mercy among the poor. The great Catherine McAuley was one of the first three nuns to come here, the others being Mother M Teresa White and Mother N Catherine Leahy.

Enrolments for the Leaving and Junior Cert intensive Easter courses are currently being accepted at The Galway Study Centre in Mill Street. Classes will start on Tuesday morning, April 11, and continue until Saturday, April 15. Bookings will continue to be accepted up to Friday, April 7, provided there are places vacant. However, as many subjects are almost booked out, there is limited availability at this stage.

Enrolments for the Leaving and Junior Cert intensive Christmas courses are currently being accepted at The Galway Study Centre at Mill Street. Classes will start on Tuesday morning, January 3, and continue until Saturday January 7.

Classes will start on Tuesday morning March 29 and continue until Saturday April 2. Bookings will continue to be accepted up until Thursday March 24, provided there are places vacant. However as many subjects are almost booked out, there is limited availability at this stage. There is also a week of supervised study for Leaving students starting from next Monday, March 21. The supervised study group is limited to 15 and only a couple of fee spaces remain.
