Kickboxing success
Six kickboxers from the Corrib Kickboxing Club in Claregalway, coached by Sean Cumiskey, were winners at the WKA Irish championships in Waterford at the weekend. Martin Murphy from Athenry enjoyed a unanimous victory, Claregalway local Liam O’Connell stopped his opponent in the first round, David Short finished his opponent 27 seconds into the first round, Dylan Delaney won by unanimous decision, and both Thomas O’Dwyer and Pavel Smal had non-contests. Jordan Connolly from Claregalway faced a tough and experienced fighter from Athlone who won the contest.
