No pain, no gain - facing the weather of all four seasons in one day, eight members of Galway Ambulance Service took part in last weekend's Gaelforce West Adventure, a 68 kilometre run, cycle and kayaking event along the Wild Atlantic way, all in the name of giving wheelchair user, Grace Harper, her independence back.

During the last week of May a GMIT student and his kayaking buddy will be departing Howth to paddle around Ireland by sea kayak (1,600km). During the trip they will be carrying all their camping, cooking, and safety equipment, and a week’s worth of food at a time in their kayaks.
