Galway Community College of Further Education (GCC) will hold a further education open day on campus on Tuesday, March 5 from 9am to 4pm. This is an opportunity to visit the college in Wellpark, Galway city, to get the most accurate and up to date information about studying a further education course. Galway Community College of Further Education (GCC) continues to offer full-time courses in a wide variety of career areas designed for entry to skilled employment, in preparation for starting an apprenticeship, or for progression to further and higher education. For some, these courses may be used as a transition year, an opportunity to sample new vocational areas before committing to a longer course of study in university. All GCC's one-year courses offer a mix of blended learning, with work experience and funded Erasmus placements. These courses are aimed at Leaving Certificate and Leaving Certificate Applied graduates, mature learners and anyone finding themselves considering changing their career path.

Galway Community College of Further Education (GCC) introduced Erasmus mobilities for students and staff in 2016, giving further education students an opportunity to complete their work experience, a mandatory element of their course, in European countries.
