Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) and the Gaelic Players Association (GPA) are delighted to announce details of the application process for six fully funded enhanced scholarships for GPA members, across the university’s Midwest and Midlands campuses for the 2023/2024 academic year.

The official Opel Gaelic Team of the Year for Hurling for 2010 was announced during the week by the Gaelic Players Association. The team reflects the most successful counties in this year’s championship, with 15 players hailing from four counties; Kilkenny, Tipperary, Waterford and Galway.

The nominees for the 2010 Opel GPA Hurling Team of the Year were announced earlier in the week by the Gaelic Players Association. A total of 45 players have been shortlisted for the Team of the Year, while four players also received nominations for the prestigious Opel GPA Hurler of the Year Award.

Kilkenny’s Eoin Larkin and Tyrone’s Seán Cavanagh have been announced as the Opel Gaelic Players of the Year for hurling and football for 2008 by the Gaelic Players Association at the GPA’s annual gala and awards evening at the Citywest Hotel.

Kilkenny All-Star player Tommy Walsh has been named as the Opel Gaelic Player of the Year for hurling for 2009.
