SHUFFLE! IS back once again for this months instalment of foot stomping floor fillers with DJ Dave Barry. Shuffle! is Galways only place to hear this original dance music in Galway. With two big guests to be anounced for the summer (one for Shuffle!’s second birthday) the next few month promise to be interesting indeed. Expect to hear jump blues, funk, northern soul, latin boogaloo, old school hip-hop, reggae, Jamaican ska, swing, soulful disco and what ever else ends up in the packed boxes of vinyl.

This Saturday night sees the return of Soulboys v Rudeboys in the Cellar bar on Eglinton Street. The brainchild of local vinyl junkie and DJ Dave Barry, the idea has been copied in clubs in Europe but it all started here in Galway. Salthill to be exact four years ago when the best soul and reggae DJs from all over Ireland and further afield pit their turntable skills against eachother. Mods, soulboys, Skinheads and regular punters all danced into the wee hours to some of the best music ever committed to vinyl.

Electric Picnic warm-up party at Arus na nGael
Jahbuzzz (AKA Dave Barry - Shuffle!) and Slick Normal (Ghetto Disco), who will both be manning the new Treasure Beach stage at Electric Picnic along with Will Softly and friends, will be hosting a warm up party at Arus naGael tomorrow night, August 22, from 9pm.
