With just two days until Halloween night Finbar Hoban Presents will yet again be bringing you one of the best and largest Halloween fancy dress parties in Castlebar which will take place at the Garbo’s venue in Castlebar on October 31.

The Joke Box has been supplying fancy dress solutions, Halloween scares, and childhood pranks from its premises on Mainguard Street for the past 15 years.

There will be a family fancy dress Halloween party in the Community Centre, Ballyheane, this evening between 6pm and 8pm.

ON SUNDAY the Omniplex Cinema, Headford Road, will be hosting a day of Halloween themed fun.

The official opening of the new playground in Monivea is to take place on Saturday October 30 with local children and young people in the community taking part in an open air spectacle to help mark the occasion.

All manner of ghastly ghouls came out in force on Halloween night for Finbar Hoban Presents... ‘I know what you did last Halloween’ – a spooky, kooky, and fun night with some great alternative music and some even more alternative costumes! The variety of costumes on show was entertainment enough in itself, some examples being; a Miss Incredible, an early eighties Madonna, a Mr and Mrs Satan Claus, and a Chewbacca. Prizes for best costume went to Adrian Ryan/Satan Claus, Aisling Holian/Miss Incredible, and Keith Mc Greal/Man with knife in back. There was also a ‘Monster Mash’, a ‘Thriller’ dance off. And that’s not to mention the best, and most important part, which is what the Bar Ritz gigs have now become renowned for the music.
