Theatre57 open for membership
Artist collective Theatre57 is open for membership for the month of August. The collective accepts new and old members who identify as performers, producers, directors, designers, technicians, playwrights, and anyone pursuing a career in professional theatre outside of a regularly funded organisation. Members must be making theatre in Galway city or county.

Seminar on New Expressions of Faith and Community
Following on from last year’s midland event, another seminar on the topic of ‘New Expressions of Faith and Community’ is being held on Thursday May 8 at 8pm in the Harp Room, Greville Arms Hotel in Mullingar. One of the key speakers this year is Fr Oliver McCrossan of the Columban order who has over 20 years experience of establishing and supporting Base Christian Communities in RC parishes in the Philippines.

Some 40 people attended the recent Expressions of Faith and Community seminars in Mullingar and Athlone, which examined current and past examples of grass root Christian communities and discussion on the relevance and application of same to life here in modern Ireland.
