Some 40 people attended the recent Expressions of Faith and Community seminars in Mullingar and Athlone, which examined current and past examples of grass root Christian communities and discussion on the relevance and application of same to life here in modern Ireland.
A follow-up seminar and discussion evening is being hosted in the Annebrook Hotel on Thursday May 16 at 7.45pm. Organiser of the event Patrick Daly, who lives with his three daughters near Mullingar, says the seminar will “examine ways in which ordinary people can develop, renew, and live out their faith in friendship with others in local small Christian communities, and the potential for such communities to transform lives and society in modern Ireland. My hope is to connect with people who are interested in exploring aspects further and potentially developing some form of base Christian communities in the Midlands.”
People of all backgrounds and persuasions are welcome. Patrick can be contacted for further information on the event at (087 ) 9646649.
