St Brigid’s begin defence of title
Reigning county and all-Ireland club champions St Brigid’s begin the defence of their titles as the Roscommon senior football championship kicks off this weekend. The Saints have home advantage when they meet Western Gaels in Kiltoom on Saturday evening at 7pm. Naturally Brigid’s will be hot favourites to retain their title, but with Frankie Dolan and Cathal McHugh amongst others who will not feature in the opening round I expect Western Gaels to push them close.
