NUI Galway’s School of Psychology is seeking participants for a new study to examine the psychological factors which may have been protective for family carers of people with dementia in Ireland during the past year of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Family Carers Ireland, the national charity supporting Ireland’s family carers, have announced that this year’s Netwatch Mayo and Connacht Family Carer of the Year is Una Biggins from Deerpark, Clogher, Claremorris.

Family Carers Ireland is expressing their gratitude to all those who have supported their national ‘Paws for a Cause’ fundraising walk/run and awareness campaign, which has raised over €25,000 to date.
