Davitt College’s is celebrating a milestone anniversary this year.

The world of science, technology, engineering, and maths continues to develop and with it the need for a skilled and talented workforce. The role of any school is central to the development of key skills that our future generations will need. “There is no doubt that the education of our young people from primary school to third-level will play a very important role in Ireland’s future prosperity and advancement,” said Bernie Rowland, principal of Davitt College, Castlebar. “So we are constantly enriching and enhancing the curriculum we provide here at Davitt College.”

There will be celebrations in Davitt College next week when the official opening of the long-awaited Joe Langan Sports Hall, at Davitt College, Castlebar - in honour of the late Joe Langan, finally takes place.

A new learning management system which allows students to access subject resources online from home or anywhere they have internet access has been launched in Davitt College, Castlebar. The system was developed by Mark Jordan, ICT co-ordinator, and is seen as a further extension of the college’s commitment to the provision of the highest standard of learning supports for students.
