Mayo County Council has announced its plans for Africa Day 2022, which will include a family concert, workshops, exhibitions and much more to celebrate the occasion.

Galwegians have the chance to celebrate Africa Day with a host of music, arts and entertainment, food, and cultural activities on May 28.

On Saturday 28th May 2022, 2-6 pm at Salt Hill Park, Galway’s African Community invites all of Galway to join them in a celebration of culture as part of the national Africa Day Celebrations.

Africa Day 2021, a day to showcase the vibrant cultural heritage of Africa and the contribution made to Irish society by African communities and people of African descent, takes place this week.

Today is Africa Day and is a day for Galwegians and the city’s African community to celebrate and experience each other’s culture and to stimulate exchange between different music traditions.
