A man who threatened a security guard at Belvedere House with a corkscrew has had his case adjourned pending a probation report.
Garda Fallon gave evidence of how Gardaí were called to Belvedere House on August 30 at 8.30pm.
He said Mr Andrew Fitzpatrick of Monalea Grove, Firhouse had been drinking all day and it wasn’t clear what he was threatening about.
Ms Patricia Cronin said her client admitted that his head had been “all over the place” at the time of the offence because his partner had recently lost a baby.
Mr Fitzpatrick, who has six previous convictions, has not come to the attention of Gardaí since the incident.
Judge Eamon O’Brien adjourned the case to May 21 for a probation report saying of the corkscrew that unfortunately “half the country is going around with these things”.
