Former Ulster head coach to deliver skills presentation

Former Ulster head coach, Brian McLaughlin will deliver a presentation on continuity skills in Buccaneers RFC on Wednesday, November 1 from 7.30pm.

The Connacht Rugby Coach Development Department has organised the event with the presentation open to coaches from all levels across the province.

McLaughlin led Ulster to the Heineken Cup final in 2012 and helped them reach the semi-finals of the PRO12 in 2011. He was also skills coach to the Ireland senior side under Eddie O’Sullivan between 2005 and 2008, along with Ireland U21s Coach.

McLaughlin is a recognised expert in techniques of recycling the ball rapidly in contact. This is a skill that has become so critical that many coaches work off the premise that if it takes more than five seconds for a ball to emerge from a ruck, the chances of a successful attack are greatly diminished.

There is a very high demand for places at this presentation. Attendance costs €20, and you can book your place on the course by visiting https://eventgen.ie/continuity-skills-workshop-with-brian-mclaughlin-buccaneers-rfc. For more information email [email protected].
