Athlone Castle has announced that guided tours with paid admission will be scheduled for throughout September.
Tours will take place from Friday to Sunday, September 15 to 17, at 2.30pm.
Visitors who opt for the guided tour will be led through Athlone’s history in the company of castle staff, who will relay tales of its earliest settlers, legends of its bloodiest battles, and fables of modern times.
All tours are subject to availability. Places are limited and offered on a first come, first served basis.
