Last chance for Mullingar parade entries

For those community groups and businesses who want to enter the Mullingar St Patrick's Day parade, time is ticking. This year's theme, recognising 2009 as International Year of Astronomy and wishing to create a sense of possibility with all the doom and gloom about, is ‘Sky's the Limit’.

So for for all budding 'stars' out there in Mullingar, it is time to ‘fly the flag’ or ‘put a rocket under it’ and get your parade entry registered. There is no point ‘mooning’ about and waiting for someone else to do it. ‘Sat-a-lite’ under it and reach for your ‘star’.

Don't let your group or business be ‘eclipsed’ or ‘outshone’; the more ‘looney’ the entry the better. We expect an unprecedented level of ‘UFOs’ to be spotted in the Mullingar area this March 17. So get on your ‘Milky Way’, talk to that old ‘crater’ of a neighbour or boss and ‘plan(et )’ your ‘celestial constellation’ for the day.

Venus, Jupiter, Neptune, Saturn, Mars, Pluto, Mercury, Krypton, Planet of the Apes, or Earth, get off ‘Uranus’ and register your entry online at www.mullingarparade.ie or beam a message to Enda ‘Flash’ Geoghegan at (087 ) 6255542 for your entry form.
