Brawny Estate in Athlone has been nominated for the Westmeath Category of Pride of Place Awards.
The committee of the Brawny Homes Association are thrilled with the nomination and would like to invite the public to their event on Thursday, August 3 from 11am in Brawny.
“Appearance-wise the estate is in a good place and everything we have achieved has been achieved by the support of the local residents,” said Keith Dowling, chairperson of the Brawny Homes Association.
Pride of Place is about how an estate interacts with the residents and with visitors, and the association will be delighted to showcase their estate to the judges during their upcoming visit. A sports day and a family fun day are also being organised for the day and the committee would be delighted with any support the public can offer them on the day.
Brawny Homes Association has chosen the green theme for their estate. Everything in their three memorial gardens is made from recycled material. They plan on showing the judges a true reflection of the estate and they are looking forward to a great day full of excitement on August 3.
