If you fancy something a little less cliched this Valentine’s Day, take a trip to The Stables where rockers Cowboy X and new Mullingar band Ever27 will be taking to the stage.
Cowboy X were named after a cowboy from Sesame Street, and Karen, David, and John have been working up a strong following for a few years now. These guys are great.
Ever27 are a new band, but not so new to the Mullingar music scene. Eoin Fitzsimons and Paul Feery, formerly of Waiting to Explode, have joined Brendan McEvoy of Mesner fame and Tanya O'Callaghan to form Ever27, inspired by the legendary musicians who died at the age of 27 - Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Janis Joplin and Brian Jones.
When the four talented and determined midland musicians met up recently and discovered shared musical ideas and a common musical vision, it was inevitable: they just had to play together. Now, as Ever27, they offer something new and fresh, adding a layer to the rich seam of musical talent that has recently been uncovered in the Midlands!
Check them out at The Stables this Saturday February 14 from 10pm.
