Lots of sport and live entertainment at The Snug Bar this weekend

It is a busy weekend at The Snug Bar, with a cocktail of musical entertainment and sport that will get the adrenalin pumping!

On Friday, February 26, Hoppy Bar Stars will be providing the entertainment from 10pm. Hoppy Bar Stars are a well-known band who are really popular around the Athlone area - they play a mixture of traditional and modern music. Influenced and inspired by the likes of Paul Simon, The Eagles, C C Revival, Planxty, Mundy, Coldplay and the Beatles, the band provide a little something to satisfy all musical tastes.

Drop into The Snug on Saturday, February 27, to watch live rugby coverage of England versus Ireland from 4.50pm and football with Dublin versus Monaghan from 7pm. Stick around and be entertained by live music from Small Deal from 10pm. Dermot and Nige, both from Athlone, are lively and very entertaining. Singing all your favourites, they never fail to get the crowd on their feet. Alternatively, relax and unwind in the Snug’s beer garden while being entertained by a live DJ from 10pm.

On Sunday, February 28, The Snug is the place to be to catch all your live sporting action. Watch Donegal take on Mayo in the AFL from 2pm and a clash of the titans at 4.30pm when Liverpool take on Manchester City in the Barclay’s Premier League. Live music will be provided on Sunday evening by Ruby Dukes at 7pm and V3 from 9pm.
