Progress on the development of the railway field road was confirmed this week by director of services Barry Kehoe.
Speaking at Monday’s Athlone Municipal District meeting he said that the council is working on a redesign of the railway field - adding that a full report could be expected at the April meeting of the district.
Mr Kehoe said that a final meeting with consultants took place on Monday morning and a report, which will include plans for a possible one-way system in Church Street, would be available next month.
