Next Thursday, November 20, business leaders from across the Midlands will attend the Midlands Gateway Chamber autumn breakfast briefing in Wineport Lodge, Glasson.
Starting at 7.30am the event will include an update on some new developments of interest to the Midlands business community as well as discussions on ways to enhance the business life of the region.
Keynote speaker will be Anne Heraty, CEO of CPL resources and Midlands Gateway Ambassador 2014.
The event will be attended by business leaders from Westmeath, Longford, Laois, and Offaly as well as representatives of all the main regional stakeholders.
With growth coming back into the economy, the Midlands, already well behind the national average in output, needs to ensure that it does not fall further behind as the national figures improve.
The aim of the event is to focus on the many new activities taking place in the Midlands which will affect businesses in the region and to help businesses make the best use of new opportunities.
The open forum is intended to generate new ideas and objectives for the region which can be tackled with a unified team approach in the coming months and years as regional policy is defined at national level.
