Gardaí are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred yesterday morning (Thursday August 14 ) at 10.30am at the townland of Johnsbrook on the N52 between Clonmellon and Kells (known locally as Lynch’s Cross ).
A male driver, 46 years, was fatally injured when the van he was driving collided with a lorry. He was pronounced dead at the scene and has been removed to Navan Hospital. A post mortem is to be arranged.
The male lorry driver, 66 years, was taken to Navan Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The forensic collision investigators attended the scene on Thursday and the road was closed with local diversions in place.
