AIT Students Union seeks accommodation for students

The Students Union at Athlone Institute of Technology is seeking local landlords to supply accommodation for students, as demand is currently exceeding supply.

The Students Union says they are seeking prospective landlords in the Athlone area to register their accommodation with the Students Union if they have a suitable property or room available to rent.

“Athlone IT Students Union is looking forward to the students return to college in September; however there is concern that not all prospective students may be able to find suitable accommodation,” said SU president Daniel Coulter.

“Every year the Students Union registers local landlords and provides their details to incoming students. This year, although we have lots of landlords and apartments on our listings, demands are exceeding the supply.

“The union is seeking prospective landlords in the area to register their accommodation with the Students Union if they have a suitable property or room free. No matter if you have a vacant house or one room spare we would like to hear from you.”

The Students Union aims to ensure that a supply of suitable, affordable housing is on offer to students in the Midlands. Full accommodation lists are available at www.aitsu.ie

Prospective landlords can contact the AIT Students Union at (090 ) 6468067 or contact the accommodation office directly on [email protected].
