LEO Westmeath is seeking entries for awards

Local Enterprise Office Westmeath has annouced that it is now seeking entries for its 2014 National Enterprise Awards.

The competition is sponsored nationally by the Local Enterprise Offices and is the only national competition specifically for the micro-enterprise sector. It is hosted on an annual basis to acknowledge the achievements of small enterprises and their valuable contribution to the local economy.

The competition is open to Westmeath businesses who have received direct financial grant assistance from Local Enterprise Office Westmeath formerly Westmeath County Enterprise Board and currently have ten or less employees and are not beneficiaries of grant aid from other agencies

The overall county winner will advance to the regional final from which finalists will be chosen by an independent panel of adjudicators to go forward to the National Enterprise Awards Final.

R&D Services based in Forest Park, Mullingar scooped the award in 2009 and were successful in being one of the last eight finalists in the country. In 2010, Critical Healthcare Ltd in Kilbeggan represented the county and in 2011 Soltec Ltd represented Westmeath and were successful in also being one of the last eight finalists. In 2012, Athlone-based Advanced NDT Solutions also represented the county in the last eight.

This year your business could be among Westmeath’s winners of this coveted award.

Entries will be judged in accordance to marketing strengths, financial strength, innovation and technology, entrepreneurial skills, and business plan.
