On Thursday May 8 Mullingar Charity Variety Group will host Summer Serenade of Song, a night of celebrations of spectacular musical favourites in Mullingar Park Hotel.
The event will see both the children and adult choirs of MCVG perform, with a guest appearance from a well-known baritone.
Known for pushing the boundaries of stage presentation and creativity MCVG present yet another professional production. Under the direction of Petrina Mills and Lynda Morgan this beautiful repertoire has something for every audience member from Annie and Hairspray to the well-recognised songs of Coldplay.
MCVG audiences from the past 19 years will recognise some familiar faces and favourites. The proceeds of the Summer Serenade will go towards keeping Mullingar Charity Variety Group’s Forest Park studios running, allowing the group to continue to offer an excellent range of community arts projects for the people of Mullingar at extremely affordable rates.
Currently they are offering CoderDojo, children and adult art, children and adult craft, children’s choir, writing groups, Zumba dance, and drama.
A portion of monies raised will also be given to the local branch of the Down Syndrome Association and HSE therapy service Children’s Fun and Frolics.
