Local Election candidate and Fine Gael councillor John Dolan this week welcomed the allocation of €40,000 towards footpath repairs in Moate in 2014.
“It is a major increase from the €25,000 allocation for Moate last year and in fairness to our area engineer Pat Nally, he has taken on board the representations made by me in the past year. This will result in footpaths in Sliabh Rua, St Patrick’s Terrace, Lakeview estate, Ave Maria Terrace, and Station Road being repaired. Also the footpath repairs from the Gap House towards Athlone will be completed,” said Cllr Dolan.
“I am delighted to see this great increase in funding in Moate and I will continue to fight for more in the future,” he concluded.
