Fine for man who had row with bouncers

A man who got into a row with bouncers who wouldn’t let him get his jacket has been fined €250 for public order offences.

John Quinn of 51 Riverside Lawns, Kinnegad was intoxicated outside Mojos nightclub at 2.05am on Monday December 15, the court heard.

Inspector Folan explained that he had to be restrained by bouncers as he continued to fight.

Mr Quinn said bouncers wouldn’t let him get his jacket. He said he had explained this to Gardaí and added that he had a black eye after the incident.

Judge Neilan said that he would consider banning Mr Quinn from licensed premises, but for the time of the year, but told the defendant he would give him one opportunity.

He imposed a fine of €250 for threatening behaviour and a charge of public intoxication was taken into consideration.
